Twilight’s Nikki Reed: Kristen Stewart Is a “Really Beautiful Vampire”

By in February 7, 2012 • Filed in: Articles and Interviews, Co-Stars, Twilight: Breaking Dawn

There’s going to be some fresh blood in the Cullen vampire gang this November—which is, of course, when Breaking Dawn Part 2 hits theaters.

And no, we’re not talking about Edward Cullen’s half-bloodsucker demon baby, we mean his now undead wifey Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart). And it looks like we’re not the only ones so excited about K.Stew’s transformation:

Fellow Twilight gal Nikki Reed is, too!

We caught up with Nikki over the weekend at the Rolling Stone Super Bowl party and had to ask the chickie—who’s played ice queen Rosalie in all of the vampy flicks so far—if there was any part of BD Pt. 2 that she was particularly excited for fans to see:

“Kristen makes a really awesome vampire,” Ms. Reed gushed to us. “And I think that everybody has been waiting to see how that transformation goes down and she makes a really beautiful vampire.”

So much for costar feuding, eh?!

Must say, our expectations are very high for vampire Kristen. Not only did we love the last few minutes of Breaking Dawn Part 1—in which Bella goes from corpse to vamp babe with pearly white skin and blood red eyes—but we’ve heard K.Stew was eager to take on her new fanged persona.

Remember, screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg said it was a “great challenge” for an actor.

So K.Stew must be keeping up with the other vamps then, who’ve already had three films of practice to get used to those pesky contacts and lethal fangs?

“Oh, yeah! For sure,” Nikki assured us. “Totally!”

Kristen Stewart Goes Glam for Vanity Fair Shoot

By in January 30, 2012 • Filed in: Magazine

Kristen was in Paris yesterday and what was she up to? Well E!Online has filled us in!

Sacre bleu! Kristen Stewart looks fab-u-lous!

The Twilight star just jetted off to Paris yesterday but doesn’t seem to be suffering from any jet lag. Instead, K.Stew got all dolled up in a designer couture and frolicked with some very high fashion horses.

So what’s the special occasion?!

A magazine shoot—and not just any magazine but the very chic Vanity Fair.

Rockin’ a feather-adorned blue dress and an exotic hat that would leave any maiden at the Royal Wedding green with envy, Kristen served up her best cover girl poses while shooting with Mario Testino in a Parisian park.

Couldn’t you just die and go to fashion heaven imagining the spread that’s gonna result from this shoot?!

And we hope it’s just the beginning of K.Stew’s tour-de-fashion mag, seeing as the box office babe has a handful of flicks to promote this year (such as Breaking Dawn Part 2 and Snow White and the Huntsman, and eventually On The Road).

“Breaking Dawn: Part I” Passes $700 Million Mark!

By in January 29, 2012 • Filed in: News, Twilight: Breaking Dawn

Summit Entertainment has just announced that Breaking Dawn: Part 1, the fourth installment in the Twilight Saga, has grossed an estimated $701.3 million globally since the film was released in November.

Breaking Dawn Part 1 , starring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, is also on its way to becoming the highest grossing film in the series. The film is just a few million dollars away from passing New Moon, which took in $709.8 million.

The film company’s co-chairmen Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger said in a statement: “The milestone is important on several fronts and illustrates the vitality of the franchise on a global scale even after four films. Stephenie Meyer’s story and characters were brought to the screen this time via the talented hands of Bill Condon along with the cast and crew that has been with the film franchise since its inception. We are very proud of the success the franchise has experienced and anticipate the saga’s conclusion this November.”

Congratulations to everyone involved with Breaking Dawn on this accomplishment! (Source)

Meeting Kristen Stewart: “It Was Instantly Amazing,” Says Snow White Costar Charlize Theron

By in January 23, 2012 • Filed in: Co-Stars, Snow White and the Huntsman

Kristen’s co-star Charlize Theron was interviewed by E!Online’s Marc Malkin and during the interview talked about working with Kristen on Snow White and the Huntsman.

Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron may play rivals in Snow White and the Huntsman, but it’s so not like that in real life.

The two didn’t first meet until after they both signed on to the movie…

“We met on a plane going to Comic-Con,” Theron told me at the BAFTA Los Angeles tea party at the Four Seasons Hotel. “You know when you meet someone and it’s effortless? It was instantly amazing.

“We couldn’t shut up,” she continued. “The plane landed and they were like, ‘Get off the plane’ and we were going on and on.”

It was the same on set. “I think we both love what we do and we came to play,” Theron said.

Yeah, but what happened when it came to their fight scenes? We imagine the “total bitch” Evil Queen got to kick Stewart‘s Snow White’s butt.

Kristen Is the Face of Balenciaga’s Fall 2012 Fragance

By in January 20, 2012 • Filed in: News

Kristen, has been named the new face of Balenciaga’s fall 2012 fragrance. Stewart surprised fans and critics with the announcement since the actress tends to shy away from all things public and has acted aloof many times about the fashion world.

Kristen Stewart released the following statement regarding the Balenciaga branding to Women’s Wear Daily:

“Balenciaga has always stood out to me. Even when I first began to consider fashion and admittedly rarely knew the brand I was wearing, I always recognized and loved Balenciaga,” the Snow White actress commented. “It feels full circle to be involved with something that spoke to me then and of course continues to excite me now. The brand is just cool. That’s the way it is. I feel drawn to it. It provokes on a number of levels. It isn’t afraid or contrived. It hits a very cool balance, always. Always pretty undeniable.”

Way to say it Kristen! She did a great job detailing her choice of why she is interested in Balenciaga. The creative director of Balenciaga, Nicolas Ghesquiere said about Kristen:

“Kristen embodies the modernity of the new Balenciaga fragrance with her unique sensibility and intelligence. From her early appearance in ‘Panic Room’ to her independent choice of ‘Welcome to the Riley’s', I’ve always sensed her progressive character.
In 2006, I invited her to appear in a project shot by Bruce Weber. Since then, I’ve always wished to collaborate with her further, knowing that she shares the radical spirit of Balenciaga.”

In that moment she was not a character in a film but a bride’

By in January 6, 2012 • Filed in: Articles and Interviews, Twilight: Breaking Dawn

The Daily Mail did an article on Carolina Herrera and Ms. Herrera shared a bit about Kristen and the dress she wore for the wedding in Breaking Dawn.

With the exception of the Duchess of Cambridge, the wedding dress worn by Twilight’s Bella in the new Breaking Dawn: Part 1 film was one of the most eagerly-anticipated of last year.

And for actress Kristen Stewart, it seems, the gown was more than just a costume.

In the new issue of Town & Country Weddings, designer Carolina Herrera revealed that the actress was visibly emotional when trying on the dress.

She said: ‘We did three fittings. When she initially put on the dress and looked over her shoulder into the mirror, she was very moved.

‘In that moment she was not an actress or a character in a film but instead a bride, and a happy one at that.’

Of course it is not lost on us that Miss Stewart’s real-life beau is her co-star Robert Pattinson, and Mrs Herrera’s revelation brings new significance to the scene.

Mrs Herrera, a veteran of the fashion industry who has worked with women as varied as Jackie O and Christina Hendricks, also described how the design of the dress came about.

‘I took into consideration the character of Bella and Kristen’s portrayal of her, and what this fantasy character would choose to wear for the most important day of her life,’ she said.

‘It’s made of a crepe satin with two inserts on the front and beautiful silk thread topstitching.

‘The neckline is a slight V, just enough to see the collarbones. The back is oval-shaped, with a Chantilly lace border veiled in tulle.

‘It’s very romantic, and when all the details come together, it creates a vision specific to Bella’s style and personality.’

The gown, which was apparently inspired by vampire Edward’s Edwardian heyday, took six months to realise, and the designer worked closely with Twilight author Stephenie Meyer.

It was worth the effort though. Mr Pattinson told the Today Show last November: ‘It’s an incredible dress. She looks amazing.’

Since the film was released at the end of last year, replica gowns have gone on sale for $799 at Alfred Angelo boutiques.

And Mrs Herrera will be selling more high-end versions for brides-to-be that may be prepared to part with $35,000.
